Implementasi Manajemen Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan STIT Syamsul Ma’arif Bontang

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic education management in improving academic quality at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Syamsul Ma’arif Bontang. Implementation refers to the application, while Islamic education management is the process of managing educational institutions based on Islamic values, including planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating Islamic educational activities. This research employs a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The informants in this study consist of academic leaders, lecturers, and students. The results indicate that Islamic education management at STIT Syamsul Ma’arif is implemented in a directed and structured manner through the integration of Islamic values and general sciences in managerial systems, strengthening of Islamic academic culture, improvement of teaching staff quality, and development of students’ moral and spiritual character. This implementation positively impacts academic quality, both in terms of student achievements and the improvement of study program accreditation. The learning environment is also conducive. The conclusion shows that the implementation of Islamic education management—including planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation—can enhance academic quality at STIT Syamsul Ma’arif.
