Article Processing Charges

Nabawi: Journal of Islamic Education Research (NJPPI) is committed to providing an open-access platform for scholarly research in the field of Islamic education. To support the costs associated with the publication process, the journal may implement Article Processing Charges (APCs) under specific circumstances.

General Principles:

  1. No Mandatory APCs: NJPPI does not impose mandatory APCs for authors. The primary goal is to maintain accessibility to research without creating financial barriers for authors.
  2. Open Access Model: NJPPI operates on an open-access model, making published content freely available to the global academic community, researchers, educators, and the general public.
  3. Voluntary Contributions: While NJPPI does not mandate APCs, authors are encouraged to consider making voluntary contributions to support the journal's open-access initiative. Contributions can help offset the costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review, editorial services, and online publication.

Voluntary APCs:

  1. Transparent Communication. Authors will be informed during the submission and acceptance process about the option to make a voluntary APC.
  2. Amount and Payment. The suggested amount for voluntary APCs will be communicated to authors upon acceptance of their manuscript. Payments, if chosen, should be made after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
  3. Fee Waivers. NJPPI recognizes that financial constraints may affect some authors. Requests for fee waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Authors facing financial challenges are encouraged to contact the editorial office to discuss potential alternatives.

Use of APCs. Funds generated through voluntary APCs will be used to cover the following expenses:

  • Editorial services
  • Manuscript processing
  • Peer review coordination
  • Online publication and hosting
  • Journal maintenance and development

Transparency and Accountability. NJPPI is committed to transparency in financial matters. An annual report will be made available, detailing the utilization of funds generated through voluntary APCs. The report will provide authors and stakeholders with a clear understanding of how contributions are utilized to support the journal's open-access mission.

NJPPI's APCs policy is designed to maintain openness and accessibility to scholarly content while providing authors with the option to contribute voluntarily. The journal appreciates the support of authors in sustaining its commitment to disseminating high-quality research in the field of Islamic education.
