Archiving Policy

Nabawi: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Islam (NJPPI) recognizes the importance of archiving as a means of preserving and ensuring long-term accessibility to scholarly content. This Archiving Policy outlines the guidelines and procedures related to the archiving of published articles in NJPPI.

Archiving Methods. NJPPI employs the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to establish a distributed archiving system. This system involves creating multiple copies of the journal's content distributed among participating libraries. This approach ensures redundancy and safeguards against data loss, technical failures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Participating Libraries. Libraries interested in participating in the archiving of NJPPI content through the LOCKSS system are encouraged to contact the journal's editorial office. Participating libraries will play a crucial role in preserving the journal's content and contributing to the broader archival network.

Preservation and Restoration. Participating libraries in the LOCKSS system are granted the right to create permanent archives of NJPPI content. This ensures the preservation of the journal's scholarly contributions over time. In the event of any technical issues, loss, or damage, these archives can be utilized for restoration purposes.

Authors' Responsibility. Authors are encouraged to retain a copy of their published work for personal records. While NJPPI ensures the distributed archiving of content through the LOCKSS system, individual authors can contribute to the overall preservation efforts by maintaining their own records.

Access to Archived Content. Archived content in the LOCKSS system is made available to participating libraries. This allows libraries to provide continued access to NJPPI content even in the event of disruptions to the journal's online platform. The goal is to ensure the perpetual availability of the journal's content for future generations.

Periodic Review and Update. NJPPI's Archiving Policy will be periodically reviewed and updated to incorporate advancements in archiving technologies and practices. The journal is committed to staying abreast of developments in archival methodologies to enhance the longevity and accessibility of its scholarly content.

Archiving is a fundamental aspect of scholarly publishing, and NJPPI is dedicated to implementing robust archiving practices. This policy aims to ensure the enduring accessibility of the journal's content, fostering a legacy of valuable contributions to the field of Islamic education research. Authors, libraries, and stakeholders are encouraged to collaborate in these efforts to strengthen the archival foundation of NJPPI.
