Abstract

This study aims to explore the efforts of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in shaping Islamic character through the utilization of communication books. The efforts of PAI teachers in shaping Islamic morals are intended to create individuals who are obedient to Allah in daily life, interact well within their environment, and follow Islamic guidelines. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that the teachers’ efforts include monitoring daily activities, providing guidance, habituation, giving advice, mentoring, and direct instruction in the learning of manners (adab). Teachers play a role in implementing Islamic moral practices, instilling Islamic character in daily life, and supporting activities in accordance with Islamic law to ensure comprehensive understanding of Islamic morals. Other important factors include the teacher’s expertise, a regular daily learning schedule, and textbooks as learning guidelines for students at SMA Hidayatullah. The ultimate goal is to produce students who are faithful, have noble character, and can become role models in society. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that PAI teachers play a crucial role in shaping students' Islamic morals. They supervise, guide, and provide direction in the application of Islamic values in everyday life based on Islamic teachings. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and document analysis, the results show that Islamic Education lessons are very effective and essential, taking place through the habituation of Islamic morals in daily life and through activities that are in line with Islamic principles.
